Vista - Are you ready for it - Is it ready for you ?

• Microsoft Windows Vista Advice ... Wait a few months before buying a Vista PC - Applications like iTunes need updates to work with Vista that are just now being released.  Vendors like Dell are selling PCs with Vista that don't meet the requirements to use all of Vistas new features.  To take full advantage of Vista you will need 2 gb of ram for example..
   
• Even simple things from BIG companies still dont work with Vista - News.com reports that as of 9/15/07 over 9 months after Vista was introduced Yahoo is still working on a version of Yahoo messenger that works correctly with Vista.
  
  " In January, Yahoo previewed a version of Messenger optimized for Vista and said it would be released in public beta during the second quarter, which ended June 30. So, they are about three months behind schedule."
  When Companies like Yahoo have trouble coming up with versions for Vista it puts things in perspective
  
  
• Forrester Research says- August 15 2007

  "Businesses that had been thinking of a quick move to Windows Vista may be rethinking things a bit, according to a new study by Forrester Research.

  "IT managers are finding themselves pulling back their initial Windows Vista deployment plans," Forrester analyst Benjamin Gray said in a report issued this week. "

• If you buy from online sources you can still pick PCs with XP. The XP PCs will be faster with less resources and will more likley work with the hardware and software you currently own.
